Joining the PTA is the best way to stay informed and have a say in your child’s school environment, as well as access to local, state and national PTA resources/benefits. Once you are in our database, we will make sure to communicate with you, advocate for your child and provide transparency as to fundraising progress and implementation of initiatives. We also invite you to come to our meetings. Enjoy a cup of coffee, meet other caring parents and learn about our school.
PTA membership is also a requirement for participation in the after-school Enrichment Program. SPE PTA membership is $10.00 per member. Additional donations are always appreciated, as most of this fee is applied towards membership in the National PTA ($3.50 per person). Our affiliation with the National PTA keeps SPE connected to the organization’s broader mission to serve as a voice for every child. The balance of the fee is kept at our school to help with our fundraising efforts.
Our goal this year is to have 100% of our families representing the PTA. We cannot do it without you! So please take a moment to sign up. Our meetings are open to anyone, although only current 2015-2016 members may vote. Meetings are traditionally held the first Wednesday of the month in the cafeteria or media center. We hope to see you there
